Infant Surrendered Safely Under Safe Haven Act

April 12, 2022 – Officials with Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood County recently accepted an infant surrendered under Daniel’s Law, the Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act, on Sunday, April 10, 2022.

The Caucasian baby boy was born on April 8, 2022, weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 19 inches long. The infant will be placed in a licensed foster home.

A permanency planning hearing will be held on May 23, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at the Greenwood County Courthouse, Family Court Room, 528 Monument Street, Greenwood, SC 29646.
