SC DSS Honors February Employees of the Month

February 20, 2025 -- The South Carolina Department of Social Services Employee of the Month program recognizes staff whose work exemplifies our core principles: Competence, Courage and Compassion.

The seven most recently selected were: Karissa OKeefe-Young, Office of General Counsel, Laurens County; April Rice, Adult Advocacy Services Division, State Office; Cassandra Roper, Child Support Services Division, Lowcountry Region; and Tionia Owens, Economic Services Division, State Office. Not pictured – Stephanie Leatherman and Ashley Evans.

Staff selected for the Employee of the Month Program are awarded lunch with the Acting State Director, along with other honorees; a dedicated parking space; a photo and write up displayed at State Office; and a write-up sent to their community newspaper.
