Growing Homes

Growing Hope works with any individual or family who has a desire to serve children and serves the entire state.

Growing Hope licenses all homes as therapeutic, but serves/places children for families who choose to foster non-therapeutic children. If the situation arises, families may foster siblings in which one or more may be non-therapeutic and/or one or more may be therapeutic.

Growing Hope families must complete 32 initial hours of training prior to becoming licensed. In addition, there are other training classes that must be completed pre-licensure above and beyond the 32 hours required for therapeutic foster home licensing. Once licensed, Growing Hope homes must complete 16 hours of training per year within the 2-year licensing period in order to maintain foster home license, at the discretion of Growing Hope.
