SNAP Recipients in Areas Impacted by Tornadoes to Receive Automatic Replacement of Benefits


COLUMBIA, SC – The South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS) has announced counties and zip codes eligible to receive automatic replacement of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits under a federal waiver granted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service.
Eligible SNAP recipients residing in the following counties/zip codes on April 13, 2020 will automatically receive a replacement of part of their benefits to replace food lost as a result of prolonged power outages, and do not need to submit a request for replacement benefits.
