SCDSS Announces the Launch of the Child Care Scholarship Program Dashboard
September 21, 2026 - The South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS) today announced the launch of the Child Care Scholarship Program Dashboard, now available here. This online dashboard strengthens the agency’s commitment to public transparency by putting relevant data points and figures of the South Carolina Child Care Scholarship Program directly at the public’s fingertips. Families, child care providers, and community partners can now easily access real-time, user‑friendly data online without needing to request reports or wait for updates.
The online dashboard provides a centralized view of critical information of the program, including scholarship enrollment trends, demographic details, payment distributions by calendar months, provider participation, application activity, and county-by-county comparisons. By making this data easily accessible online, the agency is ensuring users have clear, immediate access to better understand how child care scholarship resources, funded by both state and federal funds, are used across the state.
“The launch of the South Carolina Child Care Scholarship Program Dashboard reflects our agency’s commitment to giving families, providers and communities clear, accessible information about the programs that support them,” said Tony Catone, DSS State Director. “This new tool makes it easier to understand how the South Carolina Child Care Scholarship Program operates, demonstrates the high demand of the program, as well as how resources are deployed across our state for families utilizing the program to help pay for child care services.”
