Welcome to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Benefit Calculator. Answer the questions that follow to find out if you can get SNAP benefits. Remember... SNAP has many rules. This calculator covers most of the rules regarding income, but not other rules related to household circumstances.

In some situations, even if the calculator says you are eligible, when all of the rules are considered, you may not be eligible.

In some situations, even if you are eligible, it may be for a different amount than the calculator tells you.

In some situations, your resources such as cash on hand, bank accounts, or vehicles may also be used to determine if you are eligible for SNAP benefits.

Only your local Department of Social Services (DSS) can make the final decision about your benefits.

Before you begin, you will need the following information:

  • Your household's total income from jobs and other sources.
  • Your household's housing expenses such as mortgage or rent and utilities.
  • Child care expenses.
  • Child support payments made to someone outside of your household.
  • If someone in your household is disabled or over 60, any out of pocket medical expenses they pay.

This calculator is completely confidential, because you will not give us your name, address, or any information that tells us who you are.

It will take about 10 minutes to use this calculator.

If you are in a financial emergency you may be able to get SNAP benefits right away. Click here if you need SNAP benefits right away.

By continuing to the SNAP calculator, I acknowledge that I understand that only my local Department of Social Services can make the final decision about my SNAP benefits, and that the results provided by the SNAP Benefit Calculator may not be representative of my official benefit assessment.
